International Relations

The International Relations Department of IESF, Departamento de Relações Internacionais do IESF (DRI), serves both IESF schools of higher education: ESEF and ESTF, and its missions are:

• Management of the mobility programs of students and teachers/researchers;
• Preparation of international cooperation training programs;
• Management of conventions and international agreements.

To fulfil these missions, two entities were created:

• The International Relations Commission (Comissão das Relações Internacionais - CRI), led by the President of IESF and composed by the Directors of both Schools (ESEF and ESTF), by the DRI Director, by the coordinator of the International Bureau and by representatives of the Scientific and Pedagogical Councils;

• The International Relations Bureau composed by its coordinator and by teaching and non-teaching staff.

The International Relations Commission (CRI) has the function of building, debating and evaluating the international politics of IESF.

The CRI is the main motor of IESF for the development of increasingly international culture, open to Europe and to the world.

The International Bureau is in charge of the implementation of the politics chosen by the CRI, including the management of the conventions and international agreements, the development of mobility and the programs of international cooperation.

In this context, the International Relations Bureau boosts and manages essential sectors, such as the quality of the foreign students and teachers/researchers hosting and the creation of shared projects with European universities and others.
